Join us on this weekend, May 5th and 6th for our 50th Anniversary Celebrations as we celebrate the past and look ahead with anticipation for a bright future. Our celebrations begin on Saturday at 4pm with the choral Concert focusing on Contemporary Gospel, Spirituals and Canadian Songs. Following the concert at 5:30pm there will be an Anniversary Dinner (ticketed event - SOLD OUT). We hope you will all join us on Sunday, May 6th for our 50th Anniversary Worship Service. Participating in the service will be past and present ministers - Rev. Jeffrey Crawford, Rev. Michael Stol, Rev. Mavis Currie and Rev. Bob Robinson as well as a reunion choir. We will also be celebrating our faithful charter members. The theme of the message "Transform" and will be focused on Romans 12: 1-21. How are we called to renew ourselves and be transformed as a community of faith as we move forward and gather, grow and go?
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for God. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out." (Romans 12: 1-2, MSG)
Being a transformer is not about some big, larger than life act, or some gratuitous gesture, rather being a transformer, true to life and faith - is about a whole bunch of seemingly small and insignificant acts that in their sum total are transformational.
