Our culture uses the word “spirit” in lots of different ways. You went to a party last night, dancing, music, great vibe. You tell your friend the next day “A good spirit was there.”.

Or, a woman was hurt, by someone she trusted. In the courts, her offender has been convicted, and sentenced, justice has been done. But she cannot get over the injustice done to her. She holds a spirit in her heart, a grudge. A spirit of unforgiveness.

Some believe in ghosts. The “spirit” world. The lost souls who remain on the earth because they have unfinished business.

Jesus believed in a Spirit. He called it “Holy”. He said it brings the full presence of God into the world. Into your life if you invite it to walk with you.  The Holy Spirit will be with us here, in this worship service. If you don’t know him, join us and introduce yourself.
