Right off I have to say the image below doesn’t do the apple tree justice. Up close and in person it’s quite astonishing. That is, how one modestly sized tree can bear so much fruit. For years I would jog by this tree and come October I would be moved to stop and just stare. And if the coast was clear I’d nick one or two for the way home.
There’s a promise that Jesus makes. “God will grow good things in your life.” God sprinkles seeds into your heart, and you’re the soil. If the soil is good, the seeds will grow.
So, if you have any interest in growing good things in your life, lean in to the master’s words. You too might be astonished how one modestly sized trunk can bear so much fruit.
