Forgiveness is a major theme of the Bible. It’s described as a powerful force that can change the world. And not just by Jesus, but also by the writers of the Hebrews scriptures which preceded him.
One of the greatest stories of forgiveness is about David. He committed adultery with his friend Uriah’s wife Bathsheba, and when she became pregnant because of that he had Uriah killed. Depraved behaviour from someone who was God’s anointed one and leader of God’s people.
