Another sad week in the news with the assassination of Charlie Kirk. More division, more accusations, more one side blaming the other. Unity has left the building folks and we have five minutes until the house lights go out.

It’s no surprise to anyone who knows anything about Jesus that he lived in the same world. And yet he talked about light, not dark. Love, not hate. Hope, not despair. Joy, not sadness. Because there is a God who reigns above all else who is defined by Love, not hate. Jesus called this God “Hallowed”. Perfect and Holy. And Jesus promised that this different way of being can be real in our lives. He said that it is not of this world, but instead called it the “Kingdom of God.”

Jesus promised that we can access this way of being. This way of thinking and living. And that if we do, a new kingdom comes. Anyone out there longing for a new kingdom?
