Can you speak Christian?

Christian language has become a stumbling block in our time.  Christians and non-Christians alike seriously misunderstood much of the church vocabulary.  This week we continue on our "Speaking Christian" worship series by exploring "The Book."    

The Christian faith believes that the Bible is eternal and endearing, not because it is human-made, but because it is God-breathed.  

The words and stories that make up the Holy Bible, are considered by Christians to be inspired by God.  The Bible is a book that was compiled over 1,500 years, over 40 generations.  It is believed that there are over 40 authors who contributed to what is now one book.  These authors were from all different walks of life, had different vocations, came from different continents, wrote in drastically different settings and spoke different languages.  Yet somehow, the words come together and all tell the same story- the story of God’s activity in redeeming humanity.  How amazing is that?!
