Join us on this 1st Sunday of Advent, December 1st at 10:30am at WPC as we begin our Advent journey together and the choir leads us in a musical Advent & Christmas journey in the Christmas Choral Cantata. The service will consist of a combination of scripture and song.

Advent is a 4 week season leading up to the birth of the Christ-child.  Just like a pregnancy it is a time of anticipation and growth. Advent is a time for waiting for God, but Advent is also a time of God waiting for us, waiting for us to say YES, yes to finding OUR place in the story, yes to feasting at God’s table of HOPE, PEACE, JOY, and LOVE without end, and YES to receiving the greatest gift of EMMANUEL, God with us.

This week we will focus on the theme of HOPE.  This week we will explore how we can say yes to God in a way that is brave like Mary.
