Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!: – Capital Renewal Fund
We have received $14,530 in donations for the Capital Renewal Fund so far – thank you Westmount! When everyone gives what they can, it can add up to a lot! As you know donations to this fund will be used for special projects and capital projects that enhance the physical facilities and overall esthetics and safety of the church building and improvements extending beyond the annual operational budget. The first project we will fund is the drainage and parking lot project with a total estimated cost of $140,000 of which $60,000 has been funded by a 1% loan from Presbytery, repayable over 10 years. Your donations to this fund will help fund this project and other capital improvements that will soon be needed, such as new roofs, new furnaces, etc., which are difficult to finance from our operating budget. Thank you again. Donations to this Fund can be made at any time in the future as well. – The Stewardship Team

Messy Church “Advent & Christmas” Friday, December 8th from 5:30-7:30 pm
We are looking ahead to our next Messy Church that will be themed on ADVENT and CHRISTMAS. It will be a perfect evening to invite and bring family, friends, and neighbours to join us. We will be exploring the waiting that goes along with the season of Advent and will be looking at Christmas from the perspective of the shepherds. If you are willing to help with a craft or game, help with the worship portion – by being in a skit or helping to lead the music, or make a shepherd’s pie, provide a salad or bake Christmas cookies for the meal, please email or call Courtney by November 17th
Without Warning (rose 648) is written by Joel C. Rosenberg. Rosenberg is a fictional writer using modern day topics. This story is about an ISIS attack on American cities.
Christmas Bazaar Saturday November 18th 11am-2pm
Baking and Preserves: Home-baked items are a hot seller, so please start baking now and make this the best Bazaar ever. Jams, jellies, salsa – any home preserves — are very welcome. This is the first place our shoppers hit and it is frustrating to run out of items in the first hour.
Christmas Items/Crafts: Knitting, Christmas crafts, kitchen items, and very gently used decorations are all things that sell well.
The Garden Shop: Large urns or pots, uniquely shaped pots – any colour, we can spray them. If you are trimming your evergreens in November, or have access to a supply of holly, pine, cedar, dogwood, or any greenery, we would be most grateful for your donation. We assemble our live arrangements on the Thursday and Friday before the Bazaar – Nov. 17th and 18th. We are also looking for old wreaths that we can break down and recycle. If your secret admirer sends you flowers, and they are delivered in a little box, please save those boxes for us.
Gift Baskets: Also, please consider donating items for our gift baskets, wine, teas, unique foods, etc.
Jewelry/Purses/Scarves: Please get your jewelry donations in early so we can clean or repair them. Purses can be new or gently used. Scarves should be washed and pressed.
Penny Sale: Items you have received and that can be re-gifted, in good condition (candles, curios, etc.).
CD’s/DVD’s/Vinyl/Hardcover Books: No textbooks or encyclopedias please.
Gift Supplies: Plastic grocery bags, gift bags, wrapping paper, bows, tissue, tags, cards — Please leave these supplies in Choir Room.
Monetary donations are always welcome too!
Most of all, we need YOU! Please leave your name with Sandra Gilmour or Connie Christmas if you want to volunteer.
You can drop off your donated items during office hours (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily).
Drop off times for baking: Friday, Nov 17: 9:30am to 3pm, 7-8:30pm
