Well, most would agree that families come in all different forms. If we’re Leafs fans, we have that family. For better and for worse. If we play in a band, that becomes family. Even when we argue about who sings lead. Being Canadian makes us in some ways family. Paul Henderson. Gord Downie. Feel your heart getting bigger? Having things in common can make family out of strangers.

How did Jesus define “family”? And how did that definition bring people together in such a powerful way that they call each “brother” and “sister”, sacrifice their own interests for each other, and go on to change the course of world history?
