This is one of my fav pics of Haven and I. The relationship between parent and child is precious and its love is powerful.

Jesus called God “Abba”. The closest translation is “Daddy” or “Mommy”. The accent is not on gender but instead on the intimacy of the relationship. For those who have had troubled relationships with your parents, it’s amazing to know that this is the first image of God that Jesus wants us to have. God as parent. And God’s love for us is not human, it’s divine. It’s perfect. It surrounds us 24/7, provides for us, protects us, and will sacrifice life itself for us. Get to know your heavenly parent. You weren’t created to be an orphan.
