Amazing Grace. One of the greatest hymns of all time. Arguably one of the greatest songs ever written. Its appeal bleeds into the secular world as much as the spiritual one. Covered by Elvis, Willie, Pearl Jam and everything in between.
Why is that? Is it the tune? Or the message the lyric brings? Is it because people, all people, are dying for more grace in their lives? For more love in the face of failure. For more acceptance in the face of judgment. For something that turns blindness into sight. Or war into peace?
Let this be our prayer: May 2024 bring us Grace. Yes, it’s against all odds, But it’s amazing. And we need it now more than ever.
Enjoyed your service this morning, Tim and Kimberley! Did not sleep at all last night and so felt that I should not be driving to Collingwood in that condition. Have gone to St.Paul’s in Thornbury from time to time, but decided to remain at home and watched First, St. Andrew’s, Parry Sound, and Westmount today. Am still wide awake.
Glad to see the children there as well as the picture of the large group of new members. May God continue to bless you at Westmount.
Have had many say how much Bev’s Celebration of Life meant to them. Thank you again for your part in making it so wonderful.
