Pink Floyd’s “Money.” I’d put this in the top ten best rock songs of all time. “Money. It’s a hit. But don’t give me that do goody good . . .” Well, you all know the words.

I think it’s a great song not only because of the tune, or because of one of the best sax solos ever in pop music history. But also because everyone, and I mean everyone, connects to the message. Money is just so powerful and seductive and grips us with the tightest hold. It’s astounding what people will give up to get lots of it.

However you regard Jesus, he has some interesting words to say about money. Join us here to sing, pray, and hear together. And maybe come out lighter on the other side. I’ll leave it up to you to discern whether or not there’s a pun here.
