Maundy Thursday. Not a term many of us are aware of. “Maundy” is the Latin word for “commandment”. This is a service on the Thursday of Holy Week (three days before Easter) that remembers and celebrates Jesus words “I give you a new commandment: Love one another.”

Tonight, we remember the last supper Jesus had with his disciples, and even more specifically his act of washing their feet . Jesus was showing them the importance of caring for the needs of those around us.

All things are possible for God. Especially when we obey the simple command. “Love one another.”
